You Blew It!

You Blew It! is an Orlando band whose dedication to complexity is what sets them above fellow “emo-revivalists”. Various open tunings and harmonious, intricate note choice gives their sound the chaotic cohesion many bands in the scene hope for. The band’s vocals are not the foreground, but exist to add structure and familiarity to the sophisticated, grungy noise.

There’s comfort in a band whose vocals are a second thought, legitimizing introspective lyrics and sensitive moments. The movement towards this imperfection is redefining the relationship between listener and musician the way that nerd-rock did in the 90’s. With the release of “Keep Doing What You’re Doing”, You Blew It! has defied conventional punk with revelatory riffage and a hard-working attitude.
