Concord America is a noisy rock band influenced by modern punkers like Ty Segall and the Black Lips. Their youthful garage sound is explosive and un-tethered. Using gritty distortion pedals and fuzzy power chords, the band crafts fist-raising punk anthems. Ben, Vinny and John scream, yelp and sing poppy choruses over their echoing cacophany. Unconventionally structured jams, sometimes as short as 1:10, force them to string together multiple set groups. The brothers Restivo man the rhythm section while Ben Presley dons the role of both rhythm and lead guitar. Watch them perform multiple tracks from this year’s EP, “Suns Out Guns Out.”
