About the band
Lift is the creative outpouring of Dan Stevenson (Frontierer/Sectioned). The project is an exploration of art, music and creative concepts. The project written, composed and produced by Stevenson features collaborations with Adam Betts (Pete Tong/Squarepusher), Ian Maciak (Machinedrum/Headspace) and Finn Le Marinel.
“I suppose this record is my attempt at sharing how I feel when I hear or experience something that reaches that place that can’t really be described. It’s an intangible, immeasurable feeling, and I’ve tried to capture glimmers of that. I hope this record evokes some of those feelings for those who want to feel them.”
The first single ‘Zour’ featuring Adam Betts was premiered with Rolling Stone / Rolling Stone India on 23rd April, followed by the full release of ‘There is Beauty in Everything’ through Venn Records on 14th May.
