Wild Child

Wild Child is a folk-pop/rock band who specialize in string instrumentation and blended harmonies from two divergent voices. They write catchy music that sings in an old-timey voice. Co-vocalists, Alexander and Kelsey, banter on and off stage contributing to their harmonic cohesion. Alexander’s voice is deep and rustic while Kelsey’s is ridden with Broadway Jazz range and strength. The many stringed sextet includes traditional instrumentation put to a rhythmic undercurrent. The “Runaround” is filled with twangy, bouncing tracks put to modern bluegrass instrumentation. These Austinites have garnered a strong following in their hometown, set to blast off and spread their jolly folk to cities across the US.
