Shook Twins

Shook Twins is a folk/bluegrass band whose use of an old telephone vocoder and drum pad give their traditional instrumentation a modern twist. Identical twins, Katelyn and Laurie Shook, have been playing music together for most of their hip-tied lives. The siblings sync up to produce a unified voice while band backups give the outfit a fuller, rock-centered sound. Unconventional riffs, slow-building song structure and electronics add textural elements that aren’t often found in a finger-picking string band.

Shook Twins travel with a mythical Golden Egg they’ve converted into an instrument and defacto band mascot. Follow them as they journey, Egg in hand, spreading their upbeat folk rock across the US.
