Smut
Smut is the collaborative project of Tay Roebuck (vocals), Andrew Min (guitar), Bell Cenower (bass, synth), Sam Ruschman (guitar, synth), and Aidan O’Connor (drums). Originally from Cincinnati, OH, now based in Chicago, IL, Smut shines a spotlight on the record scratch, spacey synth lines, breakcore beats, brit-pop, shoegaze, and trip-hop sounds of the 90s and repackage them into their own unique sound.
