My Ticket Home

My Ticket Home is a heavy punk band. They began as an emotional, melodic hardcore outfit and have turned toward childhood inspiration of late 90’s nu-metal. Their self proclaimed “puke rock” is guttural, urgent, and intense. Nick Giumenti’s harsh screams sit back in the mix, often drowned by dense distortion and backup vocals from the band. Blevins and Gallucci’s guitar work matches the aggressive nature of My Ticket Home’s sound by using screechy pull-offs, drop tuning, high-pitched feedback and fretboard scratching. They are a highly energetic live band, moving around stage with abandon regardless of crowd size while inviting viewers to join the calamity. New record, Strangers Only, is a tip-off to their changing sound and a conscious choice to separate from the band of old. The tracks are short, fast, and primarily atonal with a slight melodic edge that creeps into clean choruses.
