Escondido
Escondido is a laid-back indie band whose anthemic tunes are fronted by the precise blend of Jessica Maros and Tyler James’ distinct vocal contributions. Maros has a sweet, somber texture that functions as lead to James’ deeper, friendly undertones. They began as a duo and have maintained a strong performance chemistry, especially in the presence of a full band.
Escondido’s image is centered around a Southwestern US theme; it’s strictly focused on bright, clean geometry in a colorful assortment of blues, pinks, and oranges. The desert-influenced design shows up in music videos, tour posters, album covers and on stage. Orange and white Mariachi outfits covered in sequins and buttons and fringe designed by Maros herself help define visuals for the band’s swaying, saucy twang.
