Judah & the Lion

Judah & the Lion are an internally focused, compassionate folk rock group. Nate, Brian and Judah began the project while attending Belmont University back in 2011. Three men with different upbringings brought their unique musical approaches together to form the band’s big, upbeat sound. On this diversity, mandolin player and founding member Brian MacDonald says, “Judah is the Southerner, I’m the Chicago city slicker, and Nate is the laidback, bearded Rocky Mountain guy.”

New release “Kids These Days” is a fresh outlook for the growing band. It’s more pop than rock and more dance than folk; taking on a livelier, fresher texture. Young and content with life, Judah and the Lion is pushing toward a bright future. As their official bio states, “In the end, Judah & the Lion has become the happy sum of disparate parts, Southern grit, Midwestern openness, the exuberant freedom of the West, all brought together to make a truly joyful noise.”
