Jakubi is an Aussie four-piece who write dance-heavy soul, reggae, and pop music. Half of the quartet are the brothers Farah who are deeply in sync; defining the groove that makes Jakubi stand out. Jerome rules the mic, using a talk box to texture slick runs and bold choruses into futuristic glory. The soul of the group is powered by walking bass lines and snappy backup vocals. They ventured off their island continent for the first time this year, spreading the infectious reggaeton to begging listeners in the US. Stylish, super friendly and genuine, Jakubi has a clear relationship with performing the music they’ve written.
