Colony House (Session #2)

Colony House is an indie rock quartet comprised of brothers Will and Caleb Chapman and their friend Scott Mills. They initially formed under the name Caleb, but re-branded in 2013 prior to the release of the debut record “When I Was Younger.” Describing their sound as “rock n’ roll with stripped down instruments,” Colony House blends the styles of bands like U2, Cold War Kids, and even Mumford and Sons to create anthemic indie pop. Their sound is optimistic, uplifting, and bright: the perfect accompaniment to summer drives and free-wheeling road trips.

Colony House released their debut in 2014 and were met with alarming alt-radio success, specifically surrounding the lead single “Silhouette.” This mainstream acknowledgement has found the band supporting massive national tours with Needtobreathe and Switchfoot. Originally a three piece, they have recruited keyboardist and bass player, Parke Cottrell, to fill out their foot-stomping singalongs. Watch the band perform their tight, joyous pop rock here on Audiotree Live.
